The problem it solves

What Acoustic Running Fabric fixes for you

Curved or non-modular surfaces

Running fabric wraps continuous and curved surfaces and site-built frames where panels do not fit.

Exposed absorber layers

An acoustically open velvet finish over acoustic foam or PET felt, so the material behind it does the work.

Reflections in home theatres and studios

A plush finish over the absorbing layer for controlled sound.

Noisy restaurants, offices and conference rooms

A premium fabric finish on acoustic walls.

Auditoriums, libraries and hospitals

Continuous fabric runs across large wall areas without seams across its 54 inch width.

Soundproofing: the fix for every sound problem

3-layer soundproofing

  1. 1

    Layer 1: SoundBlanket® MLV

The dense barrier that isolates sound and stops it passing through walls, ceilings and floors.

  2. 2

    Layer 2: BassBloc®

High-density sound absorber over the MLV that controls low-frequency noise.

  3. 3

    Layer 3: Echsorbix®, SoundaXe® or WDWL®

The final acoustic finish: Echsorbix® PET felt, SoundaXe® wooden acoustics or WDWL® wood wool panels.

Layer 2 can also be covered with gypsum or cement board before adding the final acoustic layer.

Different thickness in each layer will give different STC and NRC levels.

3-layer soundproofing: SoundBlanket MLV, BassBloc and acoustic finish panel build-up

FAQs

Questions about Acoustic Running Fabric

Who manufactures acoustic running fabric in India?
MMTPL (Mahabir Multi Tech Private Limited) manufactures it at its Palwal plant in Haryana, India, and supplies it in India and 25+ export markets.
What is the NRC of acoustic running fabric?
NRC 0.15, measured to ASTM C423. The fabric is a finish layer, not the absorber. Its job is to be acoustically open so the material behind it does the work, which is why the figure is low by design. Specify it over acoustic foam or PET felt, not on a bare wall.
What is acoustic running fabric made of?
A high-GSM velvet face laminated to a net polyester backing, over a high-density acoustic foam layer. Supplied in running length and cut to the project requirement.
How is it installed?
With a gripper system, or pasted directly onto a wood or board substrate.
Where is running fabric used instead of fabric panels?
Running fabric wraps continuous or curved surfaces and site-built frames. Fabric panels are pre-made modules. Use fabric where the geometry is not modular.
Is a test report available?
Yes, on request. The fabric is tested to ASTM C423.
